Miss Ida B.
I would have posted this picture on May 11th, but my computer started doing really clunky stuff. (Hubby worked on it for days, thought we'd need to back up and then reformat the whole thing. We didn't.) I snapped this picture of Ida B. Peevish at the grand reopening/open house at the Smith Mountain Eagle's ribbon cutting. She was there, along with lots of other famous folks like Nancy Fitzgerald (she writes the Out of Bounds column) and the Eagle's talented staff members who work to keep the weekly newspaper running.
Ida B. Peevish is the proprietress of Ida's Salon of Beauty & Live Bait Shop in downtown Rock Bottom, US of A. She writes a twice-monthly column for the Eagle about red-neck humor. If you haven't read her column, you should. Some of you have probably wondered how Ida B. has snared all her husbands. This photo shows her charm, her flirtatious side. Red-neck men don't stand a chance!
Becky Mushko, Ida. B.'s talented creator, is the author of several books. Peevish Advice was published in 2001; More Peevish Advice should be available soon. To learn more about Becky, check out her blog at www.peevishpen.blogspot.com.
