Location: United States

I'm a Southern gal who loves life, my husband and our family (which, to date, includes 13 grandchildren). I enjoy being with friends and family. But I also like being alone and thinking up plots for future books. I've published two novels, both mysteries, and I'm working on my third. For more about my books, visit me at www.sallyroseveare.com. If you ever hear me say, "I'm bored," please get me to the ER immediately! Paddling my kayak and snapping pictures of the critters I see relaxes me. Beach music has the opposite effect--when I hear those old "doo-wops" I want to dance.

He Turned Left . . .

He turned left and drove past her car. Their eyes met. She shuddered, blinked, and he was gone, lost in the five o'clock traffic. Behind her, horns blared when the light changed to green. The black Lab in the back seat whined. Aurora Harris glanced in the rear view mirror. A driver yelled and shook his fist. Embarrassed, Aurora steered her Jeep through the intersection.

She drove into a parking lot and shut off the engine, her knuckles white from gripping the steering wheel. Never before had she looked into such eyes--cold, calculating, dangerous. The eyes of the devil, she thought. Eyes she'd never forget.

Interested? Do you want to read more? I hope so, because the above is the beginning of my second novel, Secrets at Sweetwater Cove, which will be available from me and in local stores and shops by~Oh, my goodness, I can't believe it!~NEXT WEEK! I will let you know which shops will carry it and when book signings are scheduled.

This book took much longer to write than I dreamed it would. During the writing phase, my grandson Jonathan, age 2 years 17 days, died suddenly from arterial venous malformation of the brain. I mourned, and all creative juices skidded to a stop for nearly a year. Then the rewriting dragged on and on and on. Anyhow, to all of you who have been asking when my second novel will be ready, now you know! And thanks so much for caring.

Read what my writer buddy Becky Mushko wrote about Secrets at Sweetwater Cove.
