I'm a Southern gal who loves life, my husband and our family (which, to date, includes 13 grandchildren). I enjoy being with friends and family. But I also like being alone and thinking up plots for future books. I've published two novels, both mysteries, and I'm working on my third. For more about my books, visit me at www.sallyroseveare.com. If you ever hear me say, "I'm bored," please get me to the ER immediately! Paddling my kayak and snapping pictures of the critters I see relaxes me. Beach music has the opposite effect--when I hear those old "doo-wops" I want to dance.

WOOFS N' PURRS

I'm really excited about the upcoming WOOFS N' PURRS, a Bedford Humane Society pet adoption and fundraiser event planned for May 4th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the "BIG House" on Tolers Ferry Road, Huddleston. There will be 21 vendors, beer, wine, and a silent auction. Four local authors, including Becky Mushko, Lorie Long and I, will be selling our books. (Click on the picture below to enlarge.)

Lorie, who has trained dogs for over twenty-five years, will be a speaker. I've read Lorie's book, A Dog Who's Always Welcome, and I highly recommend it to all dog owners and prospective dog owners. I'll talk about how I started writing and how the dogs I've known have enriched--and even saved--my life. Karen Wrigley, a well-known animal communicator and vibrant speaker, will also participate.

If you're in the market for a sweet dog who needs a home, this will be your chance to meet some of the dogs who are up for adoption. And you'll also get a chance to tour the "BIG House!" A $15 donation at the door is suggested.

Hope all y'all can come.
